How To Set Up and Use the TSheets + Intuit Online Payroll Integration

The TSheets + Intuit® Online Payroll (IOP) Integration allows you to easily export employee names to and import hours from TSheets.

When using the integration for the first time, we recommend that you perform, in order, the instructions in the first four sections below.

How to Set Pay Periods

Make sure payroll periods in TSheets match those in IOP. In TSheets, go to SET UP › Company SettingsAdvancedPayroll Options.




How to Get the Chrome Extension

  1. Click this link, and, at the top right, click ADD TO CHROMEAdd extension.
  2. Sign in to IOP. At the top right of IOP, notice the TSheets extension. Note: If you already had the Payday window open, refresh your browser to see the extension.



How to Export Employees to TSheets

Note: If you are an accountant, before exporting employees, be sure to access your client's IOP account through your IOP account.

  1. In IOP, at the top right, next to Import Time, click the dropdown arrow.
  2. Click Export Employees.
  3. Select the employees, and click Export Employees.



How to Import Hours into IOP

Note: If you are an accountant, before importing hours, be sure to access your client's IOP account through your IOP account.

  1. Click the Payday tab.
  2. On the left, from the dropdown, select a pay period.
  3. At the top right, click Import Time.
  4. If this is the first time you’ve imported time, you’ll be asked to sign in to your TSheets account. In the pop-up, enter your email or TSheets user name, your password, and click Sign InAllow.
  5. In the Import Results pop-up, click OK. If you see a “No match” message, make sure that the employee listed exists in both TSheets and IOP and that the spelling matches exactly. If you make a name correction, click Import Time again.
  6. (Optional) Make manual adjustments to the hours shown in the IOP columns. This will not affect the hours shown in TSheets.



How to Add, Edit, or Delete Hours

If you make changes to hours in IOP, those changes will not appear in TSheets. To make sure hours sync between IOP and TSheets (for purposes such as audits), add, edit, or delete hours in TSheets, then, in IOP, re-import them.

How to Disconnect from and Reconnect to TSheets

  1. In IOP, at the top right, next to Import Time, click the dropdown arrow.
  2. Click Disconnect from TSheets or Connect to TSheets. When you click Disconnect, IOP and TSheets will be instantly disconnected. When you click Connect, you will be asked to sign in to TSheets.
